Bluegrass Concert at Tahoe's Squaw Valley Sunday

OLYMPIC VALLEY, Calif. (AP) - The Mountain of Strings concert is bringing bluegrass to Lake Tahoe this weekend.

The concert is planned Sunday at an outdoor tent in front of the Olympic Village Lodge at Squaw Valley ski resort south of Truckee from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

It will feature the Yonder Mountain String Band, Del McCoury Band and Tony Furtado.

The Yonder Mountain String Band is an American progressive bluegrass group from Nederland, Colo., that has released five studio albums and several live recordings to date.

The Del McCoury Band is a bluegrass band. American banjo player Tony Furtado will be performing as the show's opening act.

The show is being presented by Devildog Productions, the Crystal Bay Club Casino and Pet Projects Presents.

Tickets are $40 in advance, $45 at the door.
