CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - A bill restricting places where welfare benefits can be used has unanimously passed the Nevada Senate.
SB381 brings Nevada into compliance with federal law.
It prohibits using benefits in casinos, liquor stores and strip clubs.
The bill also prohibits such businesses from allowing someone to use their benefits in those establishments.
The bill was approved by the Senate late Monday and now goes to the Assembly.
