Battery in the Area of Virginia Lake
A woman was not injured after a battery attempt near Virginia Lake Friday night, just before 10 p.m.

A woman was not injured after a battery attempt near Virginia Lake Friday night, just before 10 p.m.
According to the Reno Police Department, officers learned the victim was walking along Lakeside Dr. when she was approached by the suspect. The man tried to have a conversation with the victim causing her to cross the street to avoid him. The suspect ran towards her and grabbed her by the shoulder, at which point the victim sprayed the suspect with pepper spray. She was able to flee to a near-by store, with no injuries.
The suspect is said to be a white male, around 45-years-old, 6'4" and 210lbs. According to the victim, he had brown curly hair that looked bushy. He was last seen wearing reading glasses, a blue zip up jacket, blue jeans and white work gloves. According to RPD, the suspect was driving a late 80's-early 90's Metallic Green Toyota Tacoma.
The suspect may also have orange dye near his face from the victim's pepper spray.
