Bartley Ranch Regional Park has been closed until further notice. Significant fire damage and public safety are cited as reasons for the closure.
Most of the park's trails sustained heavy damage during Friday's fire. Reno Fire Department says there are "hot spots" still in the park itself.
They advise people to stay clear of the area until further notice.
At this point none of the major structures in the main area of the park have been damaged in the fire. However, a structure used for storage at the south end of the park was destroyed.
