Reno, Nev. - If you're looking for a new car, or even if you just want to check out some of the new models, you can do it this weekend at Auto Show 2012.

Sixteen local car dealers will be at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.

The Auto Show has been held in Reno for more than 30 years. It's free to go, but parking costs $7.

This year, you can expect to see the latest models of hybrid and electric cars, and a large selection of fuel-efficient cars.

There will be more than 300 models on display.

You can check them out, sit in them, and they're even going to have a spot to test drive some of the cars.

And if you're looking to buy, you can expect some good prices.

"People were hanging onto their cars, for usually four to five years. Well with the economy, it's been eight to ten years. There's a lot of pent up demand on both sides, buyers and sellers. These dealers want to make deals. They are going to make deals this year," said event producer Jim Minor.

Minor says the dealers are also looking to outsell each other at the Auto Show, so you can go from dealer to dealer, all in the same spot, and check prices and make deals.

The event starts on Friday, from 12 p.m. - 8 p.m., and goes through the weekend. It will be open on Saturday from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Be careful when dealing with a salesperson at a dealership, they all have commission breath. Do your homework and research the games they play. I have a great friend that works at a local dealership and he tells me some of the things his salesmanager tells the crew. They all love to brag about how they hosed a buyer. They are predators
