Arrests Made in Carson City Vandalism

Levi Minor

Carson City Sheriff Kenny Furlong tells KOLO 8 News Now two teens have been arrested following a rash of vandalism in Carson City in the overnight hours of Saturday.

18 year old Levi Minor and a 16 year old boy were arrested.

Sheriff Furlong continues to say a third boy is also suspected in the vandalism, but hasn't yet been caught.

Late Saturday night, into Sunday morning, Carson Middle School was vandalized. The windows of nearly every entrance were shattered.

The surrounding neighborhood was also hit, along with the First United Methodist Church.

Furlong says the boys confessed to vandalizing the neighborhood because they felt the city was spending too much money on education, instead of building a new skate park.
