Arrest Made in Knitting Factory Stabbing

RENO, NV - Reno police have arrested a man in connection with a stabbing at the Knitting Factory.

Around 11:30 p.m. Friday, Reno police tell us they responded to a report of a fight inside the Knitting Factory in downtown Reno.

Once on scene officers found a victim, reportedly stabbed several times. The victim was transported to a hospital with what were considered life-threatening injuries. The victim remains in the hospital.

Throughout the night several more people arrived at the hospital with reported stab wounds; they were all treated and released.

The Regional Gang Unit began an investigation, identifying 36-year-old Darrell Garrett of Reno as a possible suspect.

Garrett has been charged with one count of Attempted Murder with a Deadly Weapon and one count of Battery with a Deadly Weapon. He was also arrested for several drug charges due to evidence found during the serving of search warrants.
