LOS ANGELES (AP) - Police are checking surveillance cameras as they try to identify two armed men who took 14 employees hostage at a Nordstrom's Rack near Los Angeles International Airport.
The men stabbed one employee and sexually assaulted another late Thursday before escaping during a three-hour standoff with police.
The store remained closed Friday as investigators looked for the suspects and interviewed the traumatized employees.
Police responded around 11 p.m. Thursday, after a man phoned 911 and reported his girlfriend had called to say gunmen were in the store.
SWAT members surrounded the location but weren't able to talk to anyone inside during the standoff. After three hours, they rushed inside.
Officers searched the store but didn't find the gunmen. Police haven't said whether anything was stolen.
