A third Nevada National Guard member has died as a result of the mass shooting at an IHOP in Carson City.
Spokeswoman Maj. April Conway says the guard member is a woman, but cannot give any further details at this point in time.
Carson City Sheriff Kenny Furlong has identified the shooter as Eduardo Sencion, a Carson City resident with no known ties to the military.
Sencion entered the IHOP at 8:58 AM, and shot at a table of uniformed guard members. Sencion then went outside the restaurant, and reportedly shot a version of an AK-47 in a 360-degree pattern, striking local businesses and another woman. Sencion then shot himself in the head.
This latest death brings the death toll from today's massacre, including Sencion, to 5.
