RENO, NV - In case you still have your 2012 Christmas tree, you still have time to get it recycled.
Recycling goes through January 13th at three locations: Bartley Ranch Regional Park, Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, and Shadow Mountain Sports Complex in Sparks.
For Christmas Tree drop-off, all three sites will be open from 9AM-4:30PM every day. This program is for residents only and no commercial drop-offs will be accepted. Trees must be free of decorations.
Recycled trees are chipped into mulch, to be used year-round for weed abatement projects and to prevent soil erosion in park, river and open space projects. Mulch can also be picked up for free by residents.
