Armed Robbery at Fernley Casino

FERNLEY, NV - The Lyon County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery at the Chukars Casino in Fernley.

Deputies tell us the robbery happened just before 11 p.m. Tuesday. They say the robber entered the casino and showed a gun to the cage clerk and demanded money.

Investigators then believe the man left the casino in a grey or silver four-door sedan. The car also had tinted windows and a sun roof. Witnesses say the car was headed in the direction of I-80.

The robber is described as being either Hispanic or Indian, between 5'9" and 6 feet tall. He was wearing a Tap Out ball cap, grey sweatshirt and blue jeans.
