RENO, Nev. -- Security has reopened and flights are taking off after a security breach at Reno-Tahoe International Airport.
The Airport Authority tells KOLO 8 News Now 2 passengers went the wrong way causing a security breach at Reno-Tahoe International Airport. It's being called an "honest mistake".
Brian Kulpin with the Airport Authority says flights were grounded for nearly two hours starting around 5:30am and the security check-point was been shutdown.
All passengers in the concourse had to be re-screened, causing some people to miss their connecting flights.
One passenger emailed KOLO 8 News Now from Denver, saying passengers who were on early morning flights out of Reno might face additional screening. This passenger reports being bussed to a screening area after landing.
If you are flying today, you're advised to call your airline to check on delays.
