RENO, NV - A ninth charge of maiming, torturing and killing an animal has been filed against a man accused of killing multiple dogs, whose remains were found in a Reno hotel.
The charge is connected to an animal killed earlier than those found in the hotel, and it raises Jason Brown's bail from $75,000 to $85,000. Brown is still in custody.
KOLO 8 News Now obtained documents relating to the alleged animal torture and killing of the dogs.
24-year-old Brown is charged with willful malicious torturing and killing of animals after police were called to a hotel in Reno and discovered a bloody scene in Brown's room.
Brown will be back in court July 21 for a status conference and a preliminary hearing is set to begin July 29.
