Reno Police say at about one this afternoon a 2001 Grand Jeep Cherokee, driven by a 30 year old female was traveling east bound on Plumb Lane at Sharon Way.
Witnesses say the female was driving at a high rate of speed and weaving around other vehicles.
Police say the driver ran the red light at the intersection of Plumb Lane and Plumas Street and was struck by a 2003 PT Cruiser.
Investigators say the collision caused the Jeep to lose its right rear tire.
It rolled several times.
While it was rolling the Jeep struck a parked 1994 Ford Ranger and sent it into the front yard of a residence on Plumb Lane.
Police say the female driver of the Jeep received a serious injury to her right hand.
Reno Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team was called to the scene and took over the investigation.
The driver of the PT Cruiser did not receive any injuries.
This accident is still under investigation and at this time police are unsure if the female was experiencing a medical event prior to the incident.
