RENO, NV - A picture says a thousand words and tells a story. We want to know what you think of this picture.

Is this proof to the cause of the deadly crash at the National Championship Reno Air Races Friday?

In a press conference later that day, officials said that mechanical error could be behind the plane nose-diving into a crowd of spectators killing 3 and injuring 56.

Some experts say the damage to the tail shown in this picture causes the pilot to lose 'pitch control' the ability to control ascending and descending.

Others say it makes little difference and many would not have crashed due to the damage shown.

Well we all live our lives differently Chaz, and yes I will continue to attend the Reno Air Races.

I'm a pilot and I won't attend any of these performances. Yep, life is full of risk - and unnecessary ones should be avoided. You play with a rattlesnake and you're going to get bitten sooner or later.

Ban the air races really! As tragic as this event was I was there and saw it with my own eyes you really need to think about what your saying, I mean lets ban auto racing, drag racing, and boat racing while were at it they have had spectator fatalities too after all and on second thought lets ban travel by plane, train, and bus as well because there has been fatalities envolving those too and also why don't you park your car and walk to work because on average 93 people a day are killed in the U.S. in auto accidents so we better ban cars too , Anonymous get a grip life is risk, and when your time is up its up thats the way it is, you are talking about an event that has gone on for 48 years and in those 48 years 31 people have been lost to date, thats not even an average of one person per year and yet we lose 93 people a day in cars and I am sure there are plenty of lives changed because of that, not to sound mean but the only reason why some of you are on this high horse to ban the air races is because this time it envolved spectators, I have been going to the races for years now and have seen other pilots get killed out there, and in all those cases it was maybe metioned one day on the news and the show went on, yet this story has gone on for 5 days now because of the circumstances, talk to any air race pilot or the majority of the fans and they will tell you they do it at there risk and understand it sorry to sound harsh but that has always been the mutual understanding out there.
