RENO, NV - A Sun Valley woman has been arrested, accused of leaving her five-year-old daughter alone in a truck.

Late Friday morning, a Nevada Highway Patrol trooper saw a pickup in a parking lot in Sun Valley. The girl was alone in the truck, with open windows and keys in the ignition.

The trooper stayed with the girl for about five minutes until Jennifer Elliott walked back to the truck. Elliott was arrested, and the girl taken to her grandmother's house.

Elliott is charged with child endangerment and neglect, and possession of marijuana, among other things.

You have put this woman in the same light as a murdering rapist? The story, short as it is, gives you no details other than the girl was left for 5 minutes Friday morning. Do you have children? No, she was not a responsible parent. Many things "could have happened".I hope you are never on a jury for a child who steals candy. You would probably give the child a life sentence. Without any details, you've condemned a woman to be barren and to be put to death. What has Nevada come to?
