This is more of a complete CF than I previously thought. I too got a letter on Sat that said "You may be eligible.." Surely I thought since I had made it through on Friday that I was finally good to go and my claim finally open. I was wrong. Just wanted to make sure today and called in...found out that even though I WAS JUST TOLD ON FRIDAY that my claim was open..it still wasn't and now this person once again assured me that it was NOW open. As for the back claims that I was told to fax in weeks ago...no one knows and that was likely a waste of time since my claim was never opened in the first place so I still have no claims pending. Upon checking the website, my account still says zero. How many timed do I have to call to actually have someone REALLY reopen a claim that was never closed? Will it happen before I am evicted? Doubtful. The passage of the bill didn't help, it just made things worse because it actually gave me hope, just to let me down and leave me out of options.

I got my 'letter' on Friday with no instructions, so after trying unsuccessfully to call, I decided to see if I could access the online claims filing, and I was able to file my claim for the week ending 8/7. I went back online today to file my claim for this week, and I get a message that "you either didn't file a claim last week or you have worked for more than four weeks, you need to file a new claim" Are these people brain dead or what? I have no idea whether I should open a new claim online or what? The message makes no sense. I swear there are no adults in charge of DETR
