Another wrong-way accident on a Northern Nevada highway has killed two people.
State troopers say at about 2:00 this morning a red BMW driving the wrong way, in the westbound lanes of I-80 near Robb drive, hit a blue BMW head-on.
They say the red car burst into flames.
Both drivers were pronounced dead on the scene.
Troopers say the driver of the blue BMW was 22-year-old Vanessa Fernandez of Carson City.
The driver of the other car--the one going the wrong way--has been identified as a 35-year-old Reno resident who was burned beyond recognition.
The coroner's office is awaiting dental records to positively identify the victim.
No word yet on why the driver was going the wrong way.
Yesterday a woman was killed in a head-on accident on Highway 395 just north of the California state line
She, too, was driving the wrong way.
Her car slammed into an oncoming Ford Explorer.
Her name has still hasn't been released.
Troopers say although the two people in the Explorer were taken to the hospital, their injuries were not serious.
