A bear left dangling for nearly 24 hours off the side of a bridge is finally back on solid ground!

According to the Truckee Bear League this bear was crossing the Rainbow bridge near Donner Summit, saturday when she was spooked by traffic and leapt off the side.

The 250-pound bear clung on for dear life overnight, dangling about 100-feet in the air before about a dozen volunteers could safely lower her to the ground.

League volunteers tranquilized the bear and put a 20-by-40- foot nylon net below the bridge.

Crews lowered themselves down pushing the bear off the bridge and into the safety of the net.
