Candidate Ralph Nader will be on the November Presidential ballot in Nevada following a court ruling in Carson City.
Carson City District Court judge Judge Bill Maddox criticized the process used by signature collectors to get names in support of various petitions-- comparing some of the people involved in that process to carnival workers.
But even after disqualifying more than three-thousand
signatures, Maddox says about seven-thousand remain. The Nader proponents needed only about five thousand.
Attorney Paul Larsen, representing the state Democratic Party
and three women who complained of trickery involving signature-gatherers, says an appeal to the state Supreme Court is likely but he must first discuss the court ruling with his clients.
