From KOLO 8 Weather Now... The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a Wind Advisory. A wind advisory will be in effect from 8 AM until 11 PM on Thursday.

Smoke in the sky over west Reno is coming from a controlled burn just over the California state line.

Smoke in the sky over west Reno is coming from a controlled burn underway just over the California state line.

The Truckee Ranger District says about 60 acres are being cleared by fire between Boca and Stampede reservoirs.

Due the direction of the wind ... smoke from this controlled burn will continue to be seen in several neighborhoods throughout the Truckee Meadows.
