A teenager was assaulted at a party near the Boy Scout camp in Lamoille Canyon, Elko, early Sunday morning where seven people were arrested on charges ranging from minor in possession to burglary.
Dillon Risk, 18, was apparently struck behind the ear with an object, possibly a pipe, during the course of an alleged auto burglary, Elko County Sheriff’s Office Undersheriff Rocky Gonzalez said.
Risk, who was the victim in the burglary, required stitches, but was otherwise OK, Gonzalez said.
Deputies patrolling the area came upon the party of approximately 30-35 individuals between the ages of 15 and 25 around 1:30 a.m., he said.
Most of the attendees scattered when deputies arrived, he said.
After deputies left the scene, they were called back because of the alleged burglary and assault.
Devin Michael Dowling, 19, of Spring Creek was arrested on charges of burglary, possession of stolen property, injury to personal property, driving under the influence and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Bond was set at $9,396
Michael James Obenauer, 25, of Elko was arrested on charges of possession of stolen property and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Bond was set at $1,264.
Jacob Troy Tueller, 18, of Spring Creek was arrested on charges of minor in consumption.
Bond was set at $237.
Kyle Lance Stevenson, 19, of Austin was arrested on charges of coercion and minor in consumption.
Bond was set at $5,237.
He was arrested on charges of coercion for allegedly taking a phone away from a girl attempting to cal 911 and throwing it, Gonzalez said.
The other three arrests were juveniles charged with minor in possession, Gonzalez said.
