The controversial Lazy 8 hotel-Casino project in north Sparks has cleared a final hurdle. The Sparks City Council this afternoon approved handbook amendments for the Tierra Del Sol and Wingfield Springs developments.
The approvals remove a resort hotel/casino land use from the Wingfield Springs development handbook and transfer the land use to the Tierra Del Sol handbook.
The land use transfer allows for an 18-thousandl square foot casino with a hotel, restaurants, a multi-plex theater to be built on approximately 17 acres within the Tierra Del Sol planned development along Pyramid Highway.
