A two-year-old boy who was run over by a minivan last night remains in critical condition tonight at Washoe Medical Center.
Reno Police say the toddler was hit just before 8:00 while playing in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Patton Drive in North Reno.
They say 27-year-old Jose Cano was backing his mini-van out of a parking spot and didn't see the little boy behind him.
Witnesses say the back bumper hit the boy, then the rear tire ran over his upper bo
Police say Cano was looking backwards while backing up but the boy's small size, combined with the size of the minivan, prevented him from seeing the boy.
