Students at Hug High will be greeted with a newly beautified learning environment when school starts Monday. Volunteers are putting the finishing touches on a series of campus improvements.

The school will now a have paved area where students can eat lunch outside and freshly painted hallways and curbs, among other upgrades.

Volunteers are estimated to have devoted more than two thousand hours to the project during several weekends. An organizer of the makeover says more than $110,000 worth of improvements were completed.
