The Town of Portola in Plumas County, California is celebrating its heritage this week-end.
The town's 25th annual Railroad Days celebration includes with train rides and railroad themed events not to mention lots of food.
The festivities kicked off today with a parade featuring our own John Tyson as the announcer.
Portola was founded by the Western Pacific Railroad and is still a division point on the Union Pacific Railroad.
Portola is only 45 miles minutes north of Reno on Highway 70.
The festival goes through tomorrow and admission is free.
