Woman Killed In Traffic Accident In Carson City

An 84-year-old woman was killed in a head-on collision this morning in Carson City.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says Wretha Wright of Carson City was
pronounced dead at the scene on Fairview Drive near Fifth Street.

She was a front passenger in a car that was struck by an oncoming car driven by 47-year-old Jerry Horine of Carson City.

According to troopers, Horine lost control of his car and crossed the center line into the path of a car driven by 62-year-old Mary Blueberg of Carson City.

Both drivers were flown to a Reno hospital, where Blueberg was listed in critical but stable condition and Horine was in stable condition.

Troopers say the 9 a-m accident is under investigation and alcohol is believed to be a factor.
