HUNTINGTON, Utah (AP) - The latest video captured by a camera
dropped inside the Crandall Canyon mine shows no sign of the six
men believed trapped there.
Huntington Mayor Hilary Gordon attended the morning briefing at
Canyon View Junior High School with miner's families.
She says officials took questions from family and showed the
latest video captured by a camera dropped inside the mine. Gordon
says poor lighting makes it difficult to see much of anything
except piles of debris.
She says crews are now talking about drilling another hole.
Officials have explained that the mine contains numerous "safe"
areas where the miners could have sought shelter. Miners are
trained to group in these areas.
