Parts of the University of Nevada, Reno campus are likely to be without power until Saturday.
Buildings south of the College of Education lost power yesterday afternoon after a fire at a transformer near the College of Agriculture.
University officials had hoped to restore power by this evening, but crews now are aiming for tomorrow.
There are no classes tomorrow. University spokeswoman Jane Tors
says the school held all regularly scheduled classes today.
She says research areas that have temperature control needs will continue to operate on backup generators.
