The event was held at the Peppermill's Tucany Ballroom, and was a fundraiser for the local chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

J. Love, a DJ and program director at Wild 102.9 FM, and his professional partner, Suzette Feilen, from Never enough Ballroom, won with the Paso Doble.

Archie, the mascot of the Reno Aces, came in second place, also scoring perfect 10's, with a country dance performed with his instructor, Michelle Michelsen from Never Enough Ballroom.

The best female dance award went to Charlotte Jorst, co-owner of Skagen Design, who danced the jitterbug/jive with instructor Raymond Bouas.

The People's Choice Award went to Kymberlee Simantel of the eWomen Network. Audience members paid a dollar to vote, and the highest earning dancer won the People's Choice Award.

Fourteen celebrity dancers were paired with local instructors. The other celebrity stars included: Nevada Assemblyman Don Gustavson of Sparks, Lauren Neil, Miss Reno Rodeo 2010; Laura Longero from the Reno Gazette-Journal; John Murphy of the Reno News & Review; Veronica Coleman, Magic 95.5 FM; Amy Mattingly, 92.1 FM; Kendra Kostelecky and Karoline Wightman, from KOLO 8 News; Nicole Maddox from Hot August Nights; and Kasper from Z93.7 FM.

Last year's event raised about $7,000 for the local MS chapter. This year's total is being tallied.
