Often a controversial subject, illegal immigration is a big issue here in Reno.

Dozens demonstrated in downtown Reno in support of giving illegal immigrants a pathway to citizenship Sunday.

Andres Cueveas says he walked across the border into the U.S. from Mexico.
He's says it's the choice he made, rather than deal with a difficult system.

"It's my home now my kids all from here they learn in the US they go to school in here everybody married got a lot of grandkids."

Andres has been here 30 years, and says he's now achieved citizenship.
Making citizenship possible for those already here illegally is something this group wants Congress to pass. The group is asking for a bill to be introduced by next month.

"We're one we're all one the creator made us as one people and this should have been done a long time ago," a demonstrator said.

We were born here ERICA! My great grand parents came here LEGALY!They helped to invent things like cars and planes. I can clean my own toilet, and do dummy jobs like that without some Illegal Aliens help. All You freeloaders from Mexico are not welcome here by the average American Citizen and need to go home! This land is ours forever!

It's amazing how many Native Americans have posted comments. Who's land is it? Shouldn't all non-natives go back to where they came from too?
