The Reno Planning Commission put off making a decision regarding a proposed condo project Wednesday night.
At issue: whether zoning rules should be changed so a project that includes four towers can go in near Double R and South Meadows Parkway.
That project would create more than 17-hundred new condos.
But some South Meadows residents told the commission the towers are too tall for their community.
Two of the towers are proposed to be 30 stories.
In addition to the height of the buildings, some were concerned about traffic.
An architect calls it a smart-growth project that not only offers condos, but office and retail space.
He also says similar projects have been built in Las Vegas and Canada.
It's not known when the Reno Planning Commission will revisit the issue.
