Sparks Standoff Ends with Surrender; One in Custody

A standoff in Sparks ended peacefully Tuesday night. Authorities say a woman barricaded herself inside a home on East Gault Tuesday evening. She finally surrendered after about five hours.

The Sparks Police Department says 44-year-old Tamra Seibert was claiming to have multiple weapons. They say someone called them to report she'd left the residence with her 5-year-old child and a handgun.
While they were looking for her, she came back home. That's when SPD says she locked herself inside alone.

The standoff ended with Seibert leaving the home at 24 East Gault.
Seibert is being held on two counts of domestic assault and battery, one allegedly against her 17-year-old son.
