CARSON CITY -- The local man, who admitted to shooting a Carson City Sheriff's deputy was sentenced Monday.
51-year-old Mark Fiddler learned he'll be in prison for three to eight years.
Fiddler pleaded guilty to battery with a deadly weapon for shooting Deputy Josh Stagliano in the wrist back in February.
Stagliano was serving a search warrant for drugs, a home on Fall Street.
Fiddler said he was asleep at the time, and when he woke up, he thought the officer was an intruder.
As for Stagliano, The Carson City Sheriff's Office says he's still undergoing physical therapy but continues working, now in the detectives division.
