Firefighters from all over Nevada and northeern California are arriving to help local firemen put out the most serious fire in several years.
So far, the fire has scorched over 2,000 acres.
Several firefighters and a reporter have been injured. Nine homes and one commercial building have been destroyed.
Authorities say at least three-hundred homes are being threatened and residents are being urged to evacuate.
In some areas firefighters were forced to fall back from protecting homes because of the fire's intensity. Wind gusts were blowing up to thirty miles an hour.
So far, severn Air Tankers, 57 Helicopters, 16 Hand crews, 32 Engines, two Water Tenders and 17 Dozers are attacking the fire.
