Customers in the Stead area were being asked to conserve water Saturday because of a break in the area's main water line.
Truckee Meadows Water Authority officials said outside watering would not be allowed again until repairs can be made to the line.
They said no major problems should occur as long as residents conserve and use water only inside homes and businesses.
Stead is located along U.S. 395 about 10 miles north of downtown Reno.
