A Furry Festival Held In Reno

The seventh annual Art Paws In The Park was held Sunday in Reno.

It was Woodstock for dogs Sunday as hundreds of canines and their owners celebrated a fun-filled day.

There was something for every dog, including a few activities you might not have expected.

It was a great alternative to art town for all dog lovers.

Sunday's event featured painting; exercise courses and even a pet psychic, who offers advice with or without the dog being present.

There was also a booth set up to help dog owners pay homage to their deceased best friend.

One festival goer, Steve Humphrey, attended last year's Paws in the Park and said, "It's a terrific opportunity for dogs and people to interact."

All of the proceeds from Sundays event benefit the SPCA and the event helps shed a positive light on animals that have been associated with a very negative issue.

Sunday's festival was a great opportunity for people to train their dogs in a friendly atmosphere which will definitely help man and beast maintain a wonderful friendship.
