Beginning July 19th at 7:00 p.m. through July 31, work will continue on the installation of utilities at the intersection of Prater Way and Sparks Boulevard. The work is part of the Spanish Springs Sewer Project to increase sewer capacity to meet the growing needs of north Sparks and the Spanish Springs area.
Motorists are advised to avoid this intersection as much as possible during this period.
Significant traffic impacts will include lane closures and reductions. Please drive carefully and exercise caution in all work zones.
Traffic impacts are different for weekend traffic and weekday traffic.
North bound Sparks Blvd: Through traffic and east bound Prater Way only. Left turn (west) prohibited.
South bound Sparks Blvd: Through traffic and west bound Prater Way only. Left turn (east) prohibited.
East bound Prater Way: Through traffic only. Right turn (south) and left turn (north) prohibited.
West bound Prater Way: Through traffic and north bound Sparks Blvd only. Left turn (south) prohibited.
Right turn only in all directions.
Lillard Drive and E. Lincoln Way will provide a detour to bypass the intersection from the north and south.
Vista Boulevard or McCarran Boulevard as alternative north/south routes, and to access Interstate 80.
Baring Boulevard or Interstate 80 as an alternative east/west access route.
