"Pig Rock" Wildfire

A small wildfire near Pyramid Lake was quickly contained around 10:30am Sunday morning.

According to Battlion Fire Chief Curtis Johnson of the Reno Fire department, the 12 to 15 acre blaze was accidently started by some people who were out four-wheeling.

The "Pig Rock Fire" was on BLM land about a mile west of the Tribal land.

A nearby resident, Bill Storey said, "I saw alot of Fire crews pass by where we live and i guessed there must be a fire. I'm glad they responded so quickly."

Reno fire crews along with BLM crews and air support worked quickly to contain the flames.

The fire is now fully contained said Battlion Cheif Johnson.
