A woman who was hit by a tire while riding her motorcycle three months ago, died Friday morning.
74-year-old Vikki Corrigan was the first woman in Nevada to earn her motorcycle license.
Back on April 28th, she was riding her motorcycle southbound on US 395, when a tire and wheel flew from a trailer that was being pulled northbound. The tire and wheel slammed into Corrigan's path.
That accident left her in a coma. Her family tells KOLO 8, she woke up for a while from the coma, but died shortly after.
The Nevada Highway Patrol is still seeking information on where the tire came from.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 21st at Idlewild Park.
