Northern Nevada will have a handful of Olympians competing in this week's Winter Games, but only one will be representing Jamaica.

Twenty-three-year-old skier Errol Kerr from Truckee pretty much is the Jamaican ski team. Kerr's dad was Jamaican and his parents lived on the island for 10 years before he was born. But the Olympian has lived in Truckee for the past decade.

Thanks to Alpine Meadows, he has gotten plenty of emotional and financial support along the way. In a few days, he will carrying the Jamaican flag and leading the country's athletes into Vancouver.
