Funeral services were held this Saturday in Fallon for a tribal police office killed when his patrol car crashed while he was en route to a call.
Authorities say Officer Adam Joseph Menuez had worked for the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribal Police Department for five months.
Menuez was an Army helicopter mechanic in Iraq, and enlisted after graduating from Churchill County High School.
He served a tour of duty in Korea and 15 months in Iraq during his eight years in the Army.
The 27-year-old officer was responding to a call at the Stillwater Indian Reservation early Wednesday when his patrol car struck a guardrail on a bridge.
His vehicle overturned and was submerged in an irrigation canal.
