As residents are allowed back into some south lake tahoe neighborhoods to rake through the ashes of their destroyed homes, the salvation army is looking metal detectors to help victims find valuables that may have escaped damage.
The salvation army will allow residents to check out the metal detectors on an as-needed bases. once fire victims have finished searching the salvation army will store the devices for future use.
If you have a metal detector you would like to donate.... please drop it off at their location on 2300 valley road in northeast reno. that's at the intersection of valley and timber way.
