Reno police have arrested a man they believe was involved in three casino robberies.

RENO, Nev. (AP) - Reno police have arrested a 48-year-old suspect in three casino robberies over the last three days.

Police say John Leonard Amaral of Reno was arrested downtown on Monday several blocks from the Silver Legacy Casino shortly after it was robbed at about 5:40 p.m.

They believe he is the same man who robbed Circus Circus late Friday night and the neighboring Silver Legacy for the first time in the early morning hours on Saturday.

In each case, the suspect approached the casinos' cashier's cage, simulated a weapon and demanded money.

Police also have arrested a 47-year-old Reno woman, Sharon Bernie Ross, who they believe was an accomplice in the second robbery.
