CARSON CITY (AP) - A bat found in Carson City has tested positive for rabies.
Carson City Health and Human Services says one adult and two children were exposed to the bat after finding it in a garage on the west side of town.
Officials say a child initially handled the bat and another then wrapped it up with a towel. An adult also handled the towel.
The exposed individuals are undergoing treatment, which involves injections at the site of the exposure and a series of vaccinations over a 28-day period.
