True to form, on a night when there were very few positives, Wolf Pack quarterback Colin Kaepernick provided the team with a bright spot.
The junior passed for 177 yards in Nevada's 45-10 Hawai'i Bowl loss to Southern Methodist, giving him 2,052 yards through the air for the season. That, combined with Kaepernick's 1,183 yards rushing gave the quarterback an NCAA record second straight two-thousand yard passing, one-thousand yard rushing season.
Nevada's quarterback also completed a career-best 58.9 percent of his passes.

No question the kid's got talent. Too bad it's being wasted on a team that can't get it's crap together.
