Two people were killed Saturday night, when a motorcycle crashed into a station wagon that was making a U-turn in Sparks.
Sparks Police say a 28-year-old man was riding his motorcycle on Prater Way eastbound, and a Subaru station wagon heading traveling westbound attempted to make a legal U-turn at the intersection of Pullman Drive and Prater Way.
During the U-turn, the motorcycle collided with the rear passenger door of the station wagon. The motorcylclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
An 83-year-old woman was sitting near that passenger door inside the vehicle, and she was also killed. Another passenger in the vehicle was taken to Renown Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
The identities of the victims have not been released, and alcohol has not been named as a factor in the accident.
