Because of severe fog, there have been many delays and cancellations of flights in and out of Reno-Tahoe International Airport. Be sure to check your flight status before leaving for the airport.

Forty flights were cancelled and 30 delayed after thick fog settled into Reno Monday.

"I just wanna go home to Vegas I've been here two weeks" Joanne Douglass said. She said she was on five cancelled flights Monday.

"Typically the airlines require quarter miles visibility to either arrive or depart," spokesperson said.

Some Tuesday morning flights are already cancelled.

Passengers re-booked. "It was nice, as you can see there were no lines, took me five minutes to get a new ticket and we'll see what happens tomorrow but that's the goal," one traveler said.

It's recommended you check on your flight before heading to the airport.

It's hoped the fog will clear as with predicted wind Tuesday.
