A Reno man is facing a laundry list of charges after driving under the influence of drugs and running from police.

48-year-old Daniel B. Tweed was arrested around 8 am Saturday after he allegedly ran three red lights on McCarran Blvd as police chased him in his green Dodge pickup.

Trooper Chuck Allen with Nevada Highway Patrol says Tweed was first spotted near the U.S. 395 off ramp at McCarran where he ran the first red light. A NHP officer turned tried to pull him over, but Tweed didn’t stop.

Tweed began speeding westbound on McCarran and ran two more red lights, doing about 65 mph in 45 mph zones.

Tweed eventually pulled over when an additional patrol car showed up, but then struggled with officers while getting out of his car.

Troopers realized Tweed was on drugs, and he was arrested and booked on several charges including driving under the influence, being under the influence of a controlled substance, attempting to elude a police officer, reckless driving, not having a valid driver’s license, not wearing a seatbelt, obstructing a police officer, and resisting arrest.

His bail was set at $8,563.00
