Investigators Probe Two Reno Fires

Reno's fire and police investigators are calling two fires that broke out within ten minutes of each other at the same southwest Reno complex "very suspicious."

The first fire at Lakeside Village Apartments started in ornamental bushes next to an apartment, which is next to Lakeside Golf Course. Some golfers jumped the fence to warn the residents inside.

The fire caused severe damage to the outside and smoke damage to
the inside of the apartment and the one above it.

As firefighters were working that blaze, an alarm went off in a second apartment.

A car fire occurred at the same complex last week, but it's not known if there's any connection with yesterday's incidents.
